Video installation. Presented at the exhibition “Whirl of Time”, Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine.
The artwork titled “Groundhog Day” explores the feelings of frustration and despair that can come from feeling like you are not living your own life, constantly putting off important things, and going through the motions of daily life without any sense of purpose. The title, taken from the famous Hollywood comedy about a man trapped in a time loop, reflects the sense of being stuck that inspired the piece.
This work is personal and was created during a time of crisis in my own life.
