About

b. 1988 in Horlivka, Donetsk region, Ukraine; live and work in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Antwerp, Belgium.

Statement: Via art, I write my diary.

I am a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist who works in various mediums such as installation, video, painting, photography, and digital art.

Each project is a reflection of events in my life, and some address critical social issues that have personally impacted me. For example, the thought of war is disturbing, but experiencing it firsthand allowed me to fully understand the pain it causes. The day I prayed for the safety of my parents changed me forever.

Through my art, I want to speak to people as if they were my close friends, having a casual conversation over a glass of wine. I want to share personal thoughts and feelings without imposing moral judgment or pretending to be completely right.

While creating, I find myself to be very emotional, but I also try to analyze my reactions. It’s as if there are two different people inside me, each observing the other.

I am obsessed with information and automating processes. I believe my special talent is turning chaos into organized order. In my digital art, I mostly create landscapes, but they are also a kind of self-portrait.

I follow a principle of simplification, but I also allow colors to play as they please, forming melodies like drums creating a rhythm. Other musical elements add smoothness and harmony to the melody.

Rhythm is the main subject of my digital artworks. I try to show reference points that the human eye can catch in a brief moment, like quickly opening and closing your eyes to observe the world reflected within yourself.
